From Norse Mythos ''Ask and Embla'' were first re-discovered and written of in various 13th Century AD Literature (mostly Germanic). The couple is said to be the First Man and Woman created by Odin. As such, they were given charge over The Earth. Made from wood, Ask and Embla were seen and the source of procreation and were often shown in Art as an Vine. The Vine in Norse Culture – was seen as a miraculous plant of various species, and represented ''plenty, harvest and fertility''. Later, 15th Century AD, Ask and Embla were made to closely resemble The Christian ''Adam and Eve''.
