''Argonauts'' were fictional Greek ''Heroes'' that accompanied Jason of Iolcos on His mythic Journey to locate the fabled Golden Fleece (a Golden Ram's Pelt). Possession of which established One as Ruler (or at least legitimize One's Position). His Crew were known as ''Argonauts'' for the name of Jason's Ship the ''Argo''. Their ''tale'' was written as an Epic Poem by Apollonius Rhodius in the 3rd Century BC. The compliment of The ''Argo'' was said to have been 55. They were portrayed (as was Jason) as Human and were an example of the slow regress from Gods and Goddess as the ''ideal'' for worship and precedent for ''Life''.
