Amphitrite was an Ancient Greek Goddess who was Wife to The Poseidon. She quelled Poseidon's occasional wrath by slowing Waves (anger) from crashing into Vessels at Sea and Land. By the time of Rome's adoption of Her into their Pantheon of Gods, She was known as The ''Goddess of Saltwater''. Her name was lent to a type of small Inlet (Harbor) land extension called a ''Amphitrite Break''.
