The Aztecs of Mesoamerica believed that ''Altahua'' was Goddess of Water, Fisherman and other water related occupations and Rituals. She was 200-feet tall and was a ''Creation Deity''. Prayers to Her gave Fisherman ''good catches''. Her primary Temple was in Tenochtitlan The Aztec Capital City (present day Mexico City). It was said that Spanish Conquistador Hernando Cortez, when He laid siege to The Capital, filled Atlahua's Lake with hundreds of bodies and heads of the vanquished Aztecs (many of which were found Centuries later).
