The process of Tattooing is thousands of years old and found in many Cultures from the Bronze Age forward. The Mayan too practiced the now ''Art Form'', but for different reasoning. It was thought that if One placed or ''inked'' a particular God or Goddess ''symbol'' on their body – they would also inherit the Power or Ability of that particular Deity. A specific Goddess was tasked to be Patron to such scared Art. Her name was Acat. She was invoked to bless the Artist hands and the very ink drawn from plants and used. Acat was also associated with Fertility ans was seen as Protector of unborn Fetus inside a Mother.
