How to change your Lord in Multiplayer?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm a new member to the forum and I'm a huge fan of Stronghold 2. I would love to know if there's a way to change your Lord for multiplayer purposes. I use version 1.4.1 and through "GameRanger" I play with my friends. However I was wondering if there's a way to change my Lord to another Lord, for example The.Hawk. Lady Seren, etc... Is that possible? ?(I know it's possible for single player). Would it work in multiplayer? Will other players see me as "The.Hawk" or any other Lord I change mine into? Thank you.

Welcome to Stronghold Nation, I'm glad to see the first sword of Westeros joining us. :cool:

I never tried that, but unfortunately, I believe it wouldn't work in multiplayer. You would be able to see yourself as the specific lord, but others wouldn't. I never tried what you described, but I was playing with my custom crests, and if I wanted others to see my crest I would need to send it manually to others, and we would have to deal in advance which player I am going to be - first, second, third, etc... That with crests might work, but only if you and your friend put some time in preparations. :) As about changing the lord, another thing that could "go wrong" is that I think you would change not just your own lord, but other human lords as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

It is unfortunate that it works that way, but luckily those games are fun either way. :)

Welcome!

Yes - as @EaglePrince said, all players would need something the same for it to be shown. However, personally, I'm not even entirely sure if it will work. I think you need un-modded file to play online.

You can certainly try it though. :)

@lord chris:

Yesterday I had been played multiplayer on gameranger with a modded knight(lords helmet, knights visor, lords coat, shield, lords sword and knight body) and there wasnt any issues and the Knight was looking like in the decription above.

Good to hear mods actually do work online then. I was always told when I first started modding that they did not.

      Good day everyone, some time ago I made a lord pack adding Radu into the game. After some time I decided that the other enemies Vlad faces in his campaign would also make for interesting AI opponents. This new lord pack replaces three existing lords in custom skirmish with three enemy lords from Vlad's evil campaign. The screenshots show each new lord's respective castles and the siege armies of Radu and the holy knights. Transylvanian Lord Difficulty: medium Prefe
