I made it aork eventuality but there was a problem...the ai doesn't attack at all.

Is there any solution for this?

Hello, Kian. How exactly does AI act? Does he send any troops upon your castle? In my case AI lords do attack me, but they don't besiege my castle. They don't build siege camps, so they just keep sending their troops in small groups which I destroy too much easily. Also, they don't send laddermen, but they do send catapults, though with no affect - like this they are too much easy to destroy. Is this what you meant, or they just sit around in their castle doing nothing?

Exactly,the ai does send some troops but doesn't seige me.

without the enemy's seige the game is too easy.

Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to this issue. The one who have us the more (the one who owns the YouTube channel) said that he doesn't have this issue, and that his enemies do build siege camps, but I don't know enough details.

 

Maybe I could give a try with Steam version of the game stoner time later...

I have the tool for 1.4.1 and I have version 1.4.1. It crashes just like Kian stated. I'd like to know from Kian how he got it to work? What did you do exactly? Thank you.

You may try with those usual stuff maybe such as compatibility mode, running as administrator, etc... Oh, and one strange thing - when I was trying to make Age of Empires 3 work few months ago, I couldn't do it, and the only solution for me was to copy everything from the games installation folder on one PC, on which the game worked, to the one where the game wouldn't start overwriting the old files there. That fixed the issue with that game, but again - that is another type of issue... Just giving some ideas. :)

Guys, plz, contact the creator of this tool and tell him to fix the issue of which the enemy does not seige the player.

Hi. The problem is that the creator of this tool has made it, and then he vanished. :) If we haven't found this file thanks to a YouTuber we would still be thinking that this tool for the version 1.4.1 doesn't exists. Perhaps, maybe we would even think that the story about playing Stronghold 2 1.4.1 or 1.3.1 is a myth, alongside with its legendary creator about whom we don't know anything. :D I think there is somewhere his username mentioned, and I think that's all we've got.

 

Sadly, this is all we have, and I fear that we cannot expect for anything more when it comes to fanmade tools. Our best bet would be for Firefly to release Stronghold 2 Steam Edition with multiplayer enabled. Unfortunately, even though they said it would be released somewhere around New Year, it still hasn't been released. What a pity, I hope they are going to make it.

Lord_ChrisThis explains why it's detected as a virus; from what I can tell myself, and you've explained there, it's injecting something into the game - this explains why all anti viruses start screaming and attempt to quarantine it.

And since we can only play online in 1.4.1, this pretty much makes this redundant, unfortunately. I contacted the creator of this tool yesterday asking him for information on how it was done, and whether or not it can be upgraded or not.

I'd be more than happy to attempt to upgrade it to be compatible with 1.4.1 myself, but I would need the source code first - and know how it was done in the first place. And I'm guessing that the email I sent to will probably be abandoned by now, after all, he was last active in 2007.

You are correct. That is why I am certain that this thread is going to be locked as well.

 

Tools like this are tempting, and each of them is most likely safe, but we are not able to guarantee that it is the case with all such tools. That is the reason why it has been decided to consistently not allow discussions on these tools at all.

This topic was created back in 2015. A change of site policy has recently occurred in March 2020 after a small influx of similar files, which the Moderation team deemed unethical and banned them from the site. I was unaware this topic still existed and had forgotten about it, but thank you for bringing my attention to it. I've removed all links to the download and now in line with the new site policy this topic will also be closed.

 

In regards to your query about the PM system, I've gone through each user group and balanced things out, so you should be able to use it now. It was originally disabled to prevent any abuse by new members (

 

I'm sorry for the inconvenience about the PM system, but its intentions were to prevent any discussions against the site rules. We have had members in the past who have abused the PM system to their advantage as a way of evading detection by Moderators.
