  1. Hmm that is a shame. I have always liked using Q and E, using ALT+D/+A is just a pain and then quite frankly leaves the Q and E keys useless.
  2. I agree, I think GIMP is the best. Paint.net has too many useless options and then not enough useful ones.
  3. So it's something that happened on Firefly's behalf?
  4. This problem happened yesterday and is still occurring today. All of a sudden I can't rotate my camera using Q and E. I have made no changes and I am stuck using the mouse scroller. Any help? Thank you :)
  5. I think I understand Lord_Chris. If I make a mistake, please let me know and I will fix it :) EaglePrince I accept that challenge, hopefully there will be other contestants too so we can have a variety of different screenshots :D
  6. Yesterday @xiiMaRcLeoN and I played another match of SHC2 against AI lords. We decided to try the new feature of a co-op territory. This means both of us were in control of resources/buildings/rations/troops and you get the idea. The game lasted for an hour and a bit against 3 AI lords. Unfortunately I had to end the match because of family reasons before we actually finished, but the outcome would have been a win. We decided for the 15 minutes of PT that I would focus on food (bread) and xiiMaRcLeoN would focus on defence and troops. When PT was over we had a small wall with 3 great towers and a gatehouse. These were all filled with archers and crossbowmen, also we had a very good height advantage for upcoming attacks. We were sitting in our castle planning our first attack for a while. We managed to get a group of archers/horse archers/knights/macemen and men at arms. The first attack wasn't successful. We took out all of Saladin's archers and we broke a hole in his walls. By the time all this happened, we only had 4 knights and a couple of macemen left. We had no choice but to send them to kill Saladin. Saladin was defended by a lot of Arabian swordsmen and healers. Meaning after the attack failed, Saladin was back to full health. As I attacked for the second time, xiiMaRcLeoN was busy holding off our castle from 2 enemy attacks, The Wolf and The Sultana. The first time I used too many useless troops. So the second attack was 43 crossbowmen, 30 Arabian swordsmen, and horse archers, about 20. Again we broke through the wall and took out Saladin's archers using trebuchets and our crossbowmen. Now I sent the crossbowmen and the archers in front of the keep to hold off incoming reinforcement, this proved to be efficient. Then, with the last 5 Arabian swordsmen, Saladin was killed. From here nothing much happened. We started an attack on The Sultana, which we were easily going to win. At this point I had to go, unfortunately. Now although there wasn't much time playing the game, the gameplay itself was indeed "epic". I only wish I shared some screenshots of the game to prove how great it was. I feel the co-op castle was okay with AI lords, but I also feel that against real life players, it will be a lot more challenging and fun. Thank you for reading this short battle :)
  7. This has always been my set up for punishment since the start of SH2: 1-2 Guard's post next to the granary (depends on the amount of hovels). 2 Guard's post for every 8 hovels. 1-2 Torturer's guild (depending on how many criminals you tend to get) Then I use 2 stretching racks or flogging post. Of course the amount I place depends on my economies size and the tendency of criminals.
  8. I think I'll give this a go, hopefully it will be a theme I can work with :) Few questions first: "You must link the image to the SOTM thread for the month you enter for." I think I understand but to be sure. I need to post the image in this thread when it is done? Along with setting it as my account's signature?
  9. That is true, and my idea wasn't one that was gonna happen. I just thought it would be great if it could. It's not so much the notifications, I just have a slight OCD and I don't like having my email linked with accounts I don't use as it frustrates me!
  10. The title may be misleading. But this is something that I think would be great and I would happily pay for. There should be a website, or app etc, which allows you to type in your e-mail, then the website/app will look up everything that e-mail is linked with. Of course you would have to prove this is your email, perhaps, ironically, from sending a verification email to a separate email. The whole idea is that people can see what they're account is linked with. For example an old facebook account you may have forgotten about. I know it won't effect everyone, but for someone like me, being able to see what my email is linked with, allowing me to delete that account would be something fantastic. Also this will help people wanting to delete email accounts but are worried they will lose certain accounts such as Xbox Live. Let me know what you think, if you know of such a website, let me know too :D
  11. I think Steam is the best option for games. It may not be the cheapest, but would you rather gamble spending ?30 or know you'll be safe and spend ?40? Think about it. Of course like Chris has said nowhere is safe at this moment in time, so be cautious.
  12. Thank you for all the replies! Today I did 2 practice tests (both scoring out of 1000) 700 is the score to pass, I managed to get 813 and 823. Hopefully I will do this well in the real thing :)
  13. A lot of famous youtubers use MMOGA it's a very trusted source. Lord_Chris it seems you didn't understand me properly, my apologies. I meant that it is less likely for Steam as they are a very good server, also if they were to get infected it's unlikely accounts would lose details.
  14. I am glad you made this or I wouldn't have bothered playing it :) I started this 40 minutes ago nearly and have completed the first 2 missions. I must admit, it's proving harder than I thought but it's a good way to improve your skills on the game :)
  15. English, learning French :) Addition: Somehow I forgot my first language :/ also Welsh!
  16. xiiMaRcLeoN your English was good and understandable, I'm assuming you meant less bugs IS good instead of ISN'T. I always feel like I should talk in other peoples language as it's more respectful to them, unfortunately I only speak French and English so apologies. The review was nice and I agree with you. I myself find the different factions and walls a nice little touch :D
  17. The virus only effects Linux so if you're using windows I wouldn't worry. I should imagine steam servers are safe as long as you are sure that you do not have the virus yourself :)
  18. It looks great, I'll try it out tomorrow, thank you eagle :D
  19. Yes but mainly because using 8 bakers will keep your bread over 2000 units so that's great :D
  20. I'm sure you'd like to split this topic Chris so here we go. Lord_Chris is 100% correct. Using the internet is dangerous. Whether you are playing a game online or simply checking Facebook for example. You are always at risk of some sort of danger. Abuse, cyberbullying, malware such as Trojans or worms, everything adds up to making the internet as dangerous as society. With technology advancing, so anti-virus, with it viruses advance along with hackers or people who just simply try to cause havoc. I agree with what Chris says and would like to reply to it: 1. This is basic knowledge that everyone should follow. But saying so, a so call "trusted" site such as mediafire has had a lot of problems with malware in the past and still does. Be careful! 2. Some anti-malware/virus have online scanning. Which scans websites before you click them, a good example is AVG. You can also, like Chris stated, check on websites to determine safety of other websites (of course use only trusted websites to do so). 3. Windows Defender, I don't agree. Windows Defender is a very low quality protection. Norton and AVG are average, they are favourites by many customers, but of course this is mainly because of salesmen providing false information. I recommend using Malwarebytes, the free version is great, I myself have the full version as it is only ?20 and does a great job. 4. Downloads, again are risky. Of course trusted websites shouldn't have any viruses or malicious files attached but you'd be surprised. 5. This is simple knowledge. You wouldn't give your card details to a stranger in person, why do it online? Again make sure the website is 100% trusted. For now, I would stay away from any online purchases until the matter is resolved.
  21. It is actually a donkey. Part of the pre-order edition, it's the first mission in one of the campaigns. I have played it many times and that is the first time that has happened, they usually follow a path and walk, like a normal donkey, but in this occasion all of them wanted to moon walk
  22. I see it has already been answered but here's my view on this anyway. In SH2 bread just uses too many peasants for such a small outcome. Of course using 4 types of food gives more honour but in theory it isn't worth it considering the resources it will use. I, as well as Lord_Chris if I remember correctly, tend to use Apple Orchards, Hunters Posts and Dairy Farms. These are cheap and quick and although they may use a bit more peasants, they give more food and hence more honour. Hopefully this helped :) P.S. In Stronghold Crusader 2, bread is the way to go :)
  23. The virus is not a problem that will solve itself. As it's new, anyone infected, will not be able to remove it with anti-virus (partly because you have most likely lost control of your computer) but also there is no removal code in any anti-virus for it. There has been a small patch released but the creator has admitted that it is not 100% effective. For now, I wouldn't risk any online purchases.
  24. Now I know it's not good to dwell on bugs within a game. But I have to admit, this one made me giggle, hopefully it will do the same for you guys :D Clicking the image will take you to the video!
  25. This is something I too discovered. I think it's a nice feature, I myself will probably not use it, but I'm sure more advanced map editors will be able to do so, good find Nigel :)
