  1. How long would you like the story?
  2. This post has just made my stomach tingle. I have a passion for writing and would be more than happy to help you there Vetka, could you provide me with some more information? :)
  3. Lord Vetka is very good with map design and it would be a good idea to ask him for some help :) If he can't help you im happy to help, im not as good as Vetka but Id say im better than average :D
  4. Looks like I'll be able to make it, I look forward to a great game also my tenth :D
  5. Recently finished my first map for Stronghold Crusader 2. It is a war scenario, with 3 quests to be able to win. It includes 2 AI lords with a lot of different invasions. Once the map is uploaded I will leave a link for the download here. EDIT: The map is more or less finished, everything is working but invasions. I have tested everything else and it is all okay. I just need help with scripting invasion paths etc, if anyone knows how please let me know ASAP thank you!
  6. My bad I didn't think it was acceptable.
  7. Just so you all know there are approximately 1:10 minutes in a Stronghold Crusader 2 day. Also I found this great tutorial for map scripting, there are a few others on the channel-
  8. Assuming this is the IPV4 address (If it's not go here http://www.whatsmyip.org/). To find this on Windows, go to Start -> Run -> CMD -> ipconfig This will show the data for the modem you are connected to along with your computer's IP information. Search for IPV4 address and use it. Either way this should be the IP address located at this site http://www.whatsmyip.org/ Hope this helped to make the tutorial a bit more in-depth :)
  9. Yes I saw this also Vekta, thank you again. This is one way and I suppose it is very useful it is not super efficient, I am sure there is a shortcut to rotate items using the mouse scroller. If I find it I will let you know. I'll use Nigel's idea for now, thank you both :) EDIT:This problem has been resolved. To rotate buildings the old way, simply hold CTRL+Press Mouse Scroller+Spin Mouse Scroller
  10. I too have recently completed the first mission of "Breath of the Infidel", it wasn't too difficult after setting up my defence, but still took a while :) Also I know this isn't completely relevant, but I have just completed my 4/5 campaigns today too :D
  11. Thank you Chris, I just noticed someone else posted this in an old topic but thanks for the reminder :) As for rotation, any ideas?
  12. Yes this is true, the village barracks is only placeable through the map editor. Healers will heal all troops 1 by 1 in their range. So having 2 healers will theoretically heal 2 units at a time (if they're in range) etc etc. The Wagons are quite useful I agree. I myself don't like using them but on some learning campaign missions they are of great use. I don't like the siege towers myself, not just the durability or the damage but I prefer the old SH2 towers. Where siege equipment was placeable on all towers.
  13. I am unfamiliar with the SH3 map editor and so this is my first time using the same type. I didn't really think SH3 to be a good game hence I didn't bother making maps for it. Now Stronghold Crusader 2 on the other hand is a great game and everything in my map is made, textures, resources, estates and what not. But I really need to know how to script war scenarios and how to rotate buildings. Anyone know the answer?
  14. I am currently making a War Scenario map in the SHC2 map editor. I recall being able to rotate buildings such as towers or the keep for example, but I cannot figure out how to do it now. I have tried CTRL+E/Q/Mouse Scroll/Left Button/Right Button. I have also tried CTRL+ALT+All of the above. None of which are working. I can't even get the rotate button within the editor to work, am I being stupid or is it broken? All help appreciated, thank you in advance! EDIT: I have loads of questions about this editor including, estates, scripting, map types etc, but I feel it would be silly to make a new topic for each. Perhaps someone who is advanced with the editor could make a guide about everything within it. I cannot find a good one online and I would be very grateful to whoever did so, thank you :)
  15. I might be able to make that. Put my name down and I'll let you know at least an hour before the game :) (Also this will be my tenth multiplayer event :D)
  16. Well actually now I'm not sure. I have been playing the last hour and some games were set in the day some in the night. I honestly don't know the answer but it is annoying me a lot.
  17. Yep it seems Chris's theory was right:)
  18. It most certainly does occur Nigel, it has happened to me a lot I occasionally play a day time match but not often. I think Chris has the answer, I just played at 5:12pm and it was day so I'm assuming if I were to play around 8pm it would be night. I'll try this and let you all know :)
  19. I have noticed every mission (as far as I remember) has been set in the night. Now I've seen lots of gameplay where players playing the same mission are doing so in the day. Is this random and I'm unlucky or can I change it? Thank you!
  20. I'll be sure to check it out tomorrow, very excited :)
  21. Sorry Chris I don't understand what you mean.
  22. Here is my entry for the contest. I know this is unlikely to win first place as there are far better ones. I decided to go with the simple theme but I feel it leaves a nice look to it. For my first ever design, I'm happy with the outcome :)
  23. That's a very nice signature Chris :) Just so you guys know I'll be uploading my entry later today :)
  24. Really? I think the pages load very quick, even compared to some high end websites.
  25. I have always used IE. It's simple, averagely fast and probably the safest to use. A lot of people claim that Chrome allows you to download files quicker. Which just isn't true. I've tested it 3 times against IE with 3 different PC's and the speed was more or less the same for each PC. Im not saying Chrome, Firefox etc are bad I just don't like to use them. And Chris has done a good job at making sure the pages on SHN load quick :)
