Recommended Posts

With numerous things to do this this week, unfortunately I forgot to post this challenge. You'll get until next Saturday to completely his challenge for that reason. I do apologise.

Your challenge is: Create a Skirmish map with 3-4 castle sites on high ground with bridges and stairs in the Stronghold Crusader editor. Make it exciting to play and hard to defeat at least two AI positions!

This is going to be a lovely challenge, I hope we will try some if these maps in multiplayer as well, that would be awesome. I'm only not sure about those bridges, I hope that those bridges don't have to be the only way from one lord to another. Otherwise, AI lords would be destroying them as far as I know.

They don't have to be the only way, but try to vary it as much as you can.

You can place rocks on those bridges, then delete them so that they retain their altitude should they become destroyed as long as the bridge is 3 squares or larger by width. However, there's a bit of a glitch where if you attempt to cross between wall and land diagonally, many units may become stuck. Sometimes, their path-finding will allow them to circumvent this, but if too many units are on that square, your game will probably start to lag.

Hi All! A small update has been added to the site, as now the main page "Quotes" section now has a chance to display the Arabic mercenary troops' voice lines. Both the original Arabic and translated English transcripts can be read, so now you may understand what "Mustahil" or those other frequently heard lines may mean! Courtesy to Ali Aziz on Youtube for providing the original transcripts in his videos, which were then ever so slightly refined with the help of Google Translate.
