My first map in SHC2 is completed.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Today is the day where I want to share my map I made.

It just has my name because I couldn't think of a name.

It's a 1vs1 map.

I'm working on a SHC1 map now. Hopefully I can bring the map to you all soon.

You might want to consider uploading the map to the download section. That way it will get more downloads and people will leave more feedback :)

Upload it here- http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/submit/

I saw you were in the editor a lot today through Steam, I'll try it out when I have a chance.

It would be better uploading it to the downloads section, it would get a lot more attention. But it is up to you :)

That is also one good map. You should be proud of that.

I tried to upload a Winrar-Zip but it didn't work.

Can't upload the map there.

Can you try without WinRAR and Windows' built in zipping function?

My Windows doesn't have that function for some reason.

What version of Windows do you have? No right click -> send to ->compressed (zipped folder)

I'd be both surprised and disappointed if that's not there.

No, it automatically makes it a winRAR zip folder.

And I have W7

Ah right. The functionality is there, but WinRAR has automatically defaulted the file type to open with it.

I've changed some code. Check and see if it will upload now.

I just had a quick play of your map... http://www.stronghold-nation.com/downloads/file/180-xiimarcleon/

I thought of a name instead of just calling it by your username. Well I thought of a few-

Only staff can rename files, change the download category/section - I've renamed your old one for you.

Think you made a little mistake I made a whole new map and submitted it. Nr.181

But could you re-name the first map with very easy difficult: Two Lands

So they're two different maps? I just assumed they were the same map but renamed when you said "new map" and removed the second one you uploaded when I renamed it. If they're two different versions of the same map then just update the first file and upload a new archive for it.

First map renamed again to "Two Lands"

Yes, there are two different maps.

The first one I uploaded with my username. Which is now changed to Two Lands.

And the second one which is a map from SHC1 name that's not fair.

Sorry for causing confusion.

No problem, sorry for misunderstanding.

Would you be able to upload the second one again, I removed it as I thought it was the same? - Apologies for that.

Well, your other map has also been approved now, so at least it's turned out alright in the end. Thanks for uploading it! :)

    • Opinions on my first mission (SHC2)

So after playing Eskania and finally figuring out how to make invasions to work properly I decided to create my own mission map. This map is labelled as 'mission' so it's not for multiplayer. You are on your own here.   I want someone to play the map and give me opinions on the following:   1) Difficulty of the mission. Was it a total breeze for you or did you find it impossible to beat? Ideally I want the player to struggle in this mission and have a bit of a learning curve to it.   2) Technica

    • Any tutorials on making scenarios for SHC2 map editor?

Hello guys, i've only been playing this game for the last two months and recently I started using the map editor. I made a few maps for custom skirmishes, but now i wish to make mission maps just like the lionhearts' 3rd mission on learning campaign. A guide on scenario editing would be really helpful.   Thanks

Requesting map scripters to fix an invasion on my map. Everything is set up including markers but the invasion seems to sit idle. The attacking force will travel to the invasion point and set up a siege camp but then remain to hold ground. They do not attack me (the player) and I can't seem to find a fix.   I need people who can fix the problem, you will be given credit for the help in the map download. If anyone knows how please let me know with a contact email etc. and I will be sure to send

Hey, my new project is a real castle which was built by Arabs and then successfully sieged by Crusaders. The castle name is Crac des Chevaliers and it stands in Syria. I tried to built it as real as possible and took the pictures from google earth and different internet sides. http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1229   The Map is an invasion based map. It is possible to play it against a KI player or a human player. Note: 'Host' must always be the defending side. The invaders are the Arab troops lead

    • SHC2 graphic options and observations..........

The first thing i am curious about especially given that some are having performance problems is why isnt there an option to completely disable shadows? And also about MSAA i noticed there is an option to configure it in the XML files but not in actual game. I wonder if they knew it was a big perf hit and completely disabled it?   I did try and enable different forms of AA via CCC as well as Radeon pro and couldnt tell any difference other then the water dissapearing on maps with water.
