Stronghold Legends Multiplayer Rules

Recommended Posts

To make multiplayer matches fairer, we have decided to come up with a set of rules to stop any cheating for Stronghold Legends, just to make sure that all players are on the same page at the start of the game. Any users who continuously ignore these may be banned from taking part in further multiplayer matches.

  1. Dragons cannot be used to attack the lord. They can attack any other unit, but as @Charles of Tours experienced, it abruptly ends your game. Sorry for that :)
  2. Fantasy Units cannot be used in excess; you can use fantasy units (as that is down to your own strategy) but please refrain from spawning millions of the more powerful ones. I.E. Frost Giants, Vampiric Creepers.etc.
  3. Siege equipment: Rather than banning all the powerful siege equipment (which to be honest is a shame) you can not use them in excess. These include Stake Hurlers, Trebuchets, Fire Ballistas
  4. Buildings: All buildings can be placed
  5. No excess white witches and crossbowmen to stop spam and complete destruction of enemy units easily.

These may get updated at a later date, so stay tuned for edits.

Aww ... no revenge ... I see how it is :P (actually, I'm perfectly fine with this rule)

Stake hurlers and tons of cats (the massive wooden shields of wheels) are devastating against ice witches, but I think an army on the move without a proper number of these may may easily whipped out, unless they have plenty of crossbowmen. Perhaps a rule against witch spams (and crossbows for that matter) should be made too? (I know you and Aleks love those silly things)

Yeah, I have to say I agree with that - even though I do love those white witches - they are really powerful in number - too powerful...

Added in main ^^

Hello, good Lords and Ladies! It's to my pleasure to bring light to a custom Legends mission pack: The Lost King campaign by @ IgnasheunKnight ! Originally introduced as the War Campaign in Stronghold 2, this re-imagination serves to re-tell a very similar experience with the cast of Stronghold Legends. Controlling Sir Bedivere, you must work your way through hostile Ice and Evil lands either to restore the rule of King Arthur, or to show your might as the ultimate ruler over Europe.

    • Stronghold Legends Screenshots

Does anyone recognise these screenshots? I've been forwarded a link to a website by @ Average tahiti enjoyer initially speculating this was a mod, but I can find lots of different examples of the exact same screenshot being used on other websites so I'm beginning to wonder if it was released by Firefly instead, possibly as some kind of demo. I couldn't find any download links, at least on that website. I like this build and think it would be good to have as a mod of some kind.

    • How about Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition?

Hey, guys, check this out?   Age of Empires Definitive Edition   It looks really cool to me, and in the matter of fact - far batter than many of those HD editions of many games, even Stronghold Crusader. I mean, this isn't only about enabling higher resolutions, and making the game to look better on wide screens and laptops, this is, as they say, almost all new or remastered textures, and improved mechanics. At least so they say.   So then I though, it would be awesome to have a Definitive Ed

Back when Stronghold Definitive Edition released, I started replaying the military campaign. I got through missions 1 through 15 last year on normal difficulty. I then stopped for various reasons, but yesterday, I booted up the game again and am planning to finish the campaign on normal. I thought it would be nice to share my progress. I'm playing other games at the same time of Stronghold, so my progress might be a bit slow. Mission 16: Fighting Retreat Yesterday and today, I complete

Dear Sirs and Ladies! As it is well known, Stronghold Crusader is getting a Definitive Edition on July 15th and has now released! Second in the line of the remade Stronghold games, Firefly Studios promises to greatly expand on the original Crusader, as detailed in this roadmap. Ever since the beginning of 2025, the public has been provided a few demos to foreshadow what we could expect in terms of presentation and features.
