In light of his incredible contributions to the Stronghold Legends community, the decision has been taken to promote @ Sir Windows to the Contributors Global Moderators group! These are long standing members who have provided valuable content to the Stronghold Community, demonstrated serious skills or expertise, and provided incredible knowledge or insight into various games.

Congratulations @ Sir Windows ! May I be the first to thank you for all your hard work and amazing input into the community.  We are most grateful for your contributions and very thankful for sharing your knowledge, skill and passion with us!

For those of you who have not already seen, @ Sir Windows created an amazing modpack for Stronghold Legends which contains a number of modified AI Lords.

In a move somewhat as spectacular as Sean Connery's 1964 Goldfinger escape, "Do you expect me to talk?", the decision has been made, after discussion with @ Sir Windows to promote him to the Global Moderators group! Thank you very much for your service m'lord and looking very much forward to working with you!

May I be the first to wish him all the best in his new role and heartfully thank him for his help, advice and expertise! I know you will make a great addition to the team and it is an honour to have you on board.

Thank you very much. I’m truly honored by this promotion and love the new blue color. 😄

I hope to provide further contributions to stronghold-nation soon. Hopefully the first few updates to the Stronghold 3 section will arrive over the weekend. Eventually I hope to tackle the Stronghold and Crusader sections as well.

I look forward to working with you all.

      Since the 24H2 update rollout for Windows 11, the Vision engine games (SH3, SHC2, SHW) have a tendency to throw the error message in the title upon startup.       Hey, guys! First of all, this is not a question, this is a solution. I believe this will be useful for many people.   I have installed Steam version of Stronghold Crusader on my new laptop which runs Windows 10. When I tried to start the game, it just wouldn't work. No error, no nothing. When I tried to run Stronghold Crusader from the Steam folder: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stronghold Crusader Extreme then I got the error code 0xc0000022. I tried with changing compatibility

    • Stronghold 2 incompatible with Windows 8/8.1 Fix

      More and more users lately have been getting this error, especially on Windows 8/8.1. Rest assured however, that I feel I have finally found some kind of proper fix for this error. It only appears to occur on disk versions of the game.   There are two potential methods I am posting, the first is less drastic, and I recommend you start from here- though there is less chance of it working.
