How Can I Run Stronghold Crusader in Windowed Mode?

i wanted to record gaming videos from this game for my channel but i dont know why but my recorder cannot capture fullscreen windows and dont shows them in the video this game is also fullscreen how can i run it in windowed?

I realize this is not an answer to your question, but perhaps you may want to try with a different video recording software.🤔 You may try to play the game in windows mode, but even then the final result wouldn't be as good as if you recorded it "properly".

Though, I must say I realize your trouble. I'm guessing you're trying to do it by some free software, and many of them have some limitations. Mostly you notice them only when you try them - when you see, for example, that maximum length of the recording is, say, 15 minutes...

If you don't find any other solution, you may even try with Skype for example! Make a video call to yourself, share your screen, and record it. That has it's downsides too. I like Bandicam for example! You may want to try it, and maybe even the free version does the job for you!

Yeah I used to have the same problem when I did YouTube stuff back in the day.... have you tried using a program called "Action!"? This allowed me to record full screen, but sadly you only get a trial version.

There's no way to run the original Stronghold Crusader game in a windowed mode to my knowledge. I have heard of this program however that may allow you to do this. I haven't done this myself so I can't vouch for whether it works, but here it is: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/

This won't work on the new Steam version of the game, though. If you're running the Steam version, then unfortunately you can't really do anything. I did try changing the game launch options, but it appears that the game just does not have the functionality to launch in a windowed mode out of the box.

thanks for your help but i tryed almost 12 recording apps and they wasnt free all of them was the cracked version but none of them worked i even tryed obs studio and it didn't worked

Bandicam did the job well for me. Although, like I said, I'm not sure if you are going to need to buy the full version. You would need to test it. As for cracked versions of any program, this community has strict policy regarding piracy. Any seeking for help about how to "crack" a program is forbidden. Keep that in mind.  Both asking for help with piracy and providing any sort of help about that is forbidden.

As for free programs, maybe you could try Apowersoft Online Screen Recorder. It works online, you do need to install some small piece of software however, a plugin or something, but it has very few limitations (if any). I used it for something else recently. Hopefully it can record Stronghold Crusader, too.
