Play a prequel to the Ice Campaign as the evil Sorcerer Janibas as you gather power through the outlying lords of the land. Wreak havoc throughout the lands of noble lords as you gain more power and show these fools what a real master of the dark arts can do!

M1) Lizards in the Palace

The dark magics have called to me after leaving my father and with practice my powers have manifested into flammable fury. However I must have more power. I hear in this land there are relics that may help me gain the power I desire but I must sacrifice thousands to gain it. The path is guarded by some local lords though. I may want to pay them a visit. Along the way I will be studying more dark magic to see who I can summon. I must be careful however: as soon as they identify who and what I am they will be researching ways to destroy it.

For now we should focus on building a base here. It seems the curse of this land has even caused some trees to grow with some rocks. As we will not have any means of trade this would be ideal for gathering wood. I will have to hire some mercenaries to wreak havoc. I should watch out for patrols to the northeast of me however. Rumors of giants like my father and women warriors have been circulating.

I need time to cast spells to summon creatures of the night. Who knows what will crawl out from below? With any luck we can focus on building a base here whilst those giants slay those lizards for us! We must make sure the base is strong. As more enemies emerge so too will the invasions...

M2) A Minor Annoyance

In the wake of the destruction I have acquired some new friends. I need more time to study the spells that my spellbook provides. I must fine tune my summons as we'll need speed for this upcoming mission. It seems that one of the lords has taken notice of my presence. I will need to dispose of him before he warns the others of my activities. His blue banner will serve as a warning as I absorb his power.

We should be careful of his Ice Tower though. If it is destroyed he may rebuild it and mass more giants than we can handle! For now though some pitch, crossbowmen, and werewolves should be a great counter to these invasions.

M3) The Relic

Some dogs and creatures who have the ability to convert other weaker men to my side have emerged from my spells. We have a problem though: the amulet I need is blockaded and it would be unwise for me to leave without delegating ownership to make sure the castle is well fortified. However perhaps we can melt the blockade with 100 iron bars.

Afterwards we can send some men to acquire the amulet. It is described as a crimson blood soaked color. It shouldn't be too difficult to find. Some knights are already coming to the castle to defeat me. Hopefully we'll have enough iron before too many reinforcements arrive. I have also come into contact will the black market so now we can sell goods.

M4) Start of a Conquest

With the relic in my possession I have gained more power. I am now powerful enough to conquer this land. The werewolves have also informed me that a new launching weapon is at my disposal. All we need to do now is finish off the remaining lords. This will be a cake walk!

M5) The Final Sacrifice

Now that I am at full power it seems that my cruelty has been noticed by the outlying lords. They march upon this land in an effort to put an end to me. I have obtained so much incredible and vast power and cannot stop now. I will teach them a lesson they will not forget. They will be worthy sacrifices for my growing empire. My father Orkis would be proud.

Updated version notes

  • Significantly reduced the amount of starting goods
  • Toggled some trade options for missions 1-4 to increase difficulty (in other words trading is off the table)
  • Fixed mission 2's invasion troop color so the invasion shows up/launches the assault? I forgot what the problem was but that was the solution
  • Changed troop color of Hildebrand's beginning troops to blue to prevent giant spam in the first mission
  • Changed the troop color of Arthur's initial guards (units) to pink
  • Had Lancelot's guard (units) protect Arthur's estate instead of his castle
  • Added a tiny mountain to east estate
  • Fixed blockade problem for M3 by adding a mountain making blockade work as intended (you have to actually get the resources instead of being able to bull rush to the holy grail)
  • Added more trees
  • Buffed the enemies' castles adding things like moat and more castle structure so they can be more challenging
  • Significantly decreased enemy troops for penultimate invasion
  • Changed castle layout for M3 based on SHC Nizar castle so you don't just win by appearing in front of the grail's gatehouse
  • Changed the final invasion's retreat area due to the new environment blocking it.

You guys will really enjoy this. It's very unique to have the Sorcerer as the lord and pushing back the armies of the enemies whilst keeping in mind a siginificantly weaker lord.

It's come to my attention that the missions-especially mission 1 are too easy. To solve this I am going to update the file later to have less beginning resources.

Also due to some previous missions apparently killing everyone I am also setting up some reinforcements in the beginning of mission 2 or so so that there will be lords present in the map.

I have also inserted some blockades so the player doesn't get attacked in mission 1.
