Stronghold 2 Supports 4K

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a new 1440p monitor. Today, I went to continue with map editing, and decided to check if the game actually supports resolutions higher than 1080p, and sure enough, it does, and it actually looks amazing! I got a friend to test this with a 4K monitor, and he too could play the game at 4K!

Just thought it was interesting to share :)

Wow, that is amazing! Thanks for sharing that with us. I do know that even Stronghold HD and Stronghold Crusader HD support high resolutions, higher than 1920x1080, but that's less interesting because it works differently in these games. Higher resolutions in these two means wider view, and not simply the picture being less blocky.

Well, one more reason why I think should Firefly make a Stronghold 2 Definitive Edition! They could give us more detailed models, etc., while keeping the gameplay as it is, and give us few more stuff such as AI in multiplayer. Ha, I used another chance to wine about Stronghold 2 Steam Edition not bringing AI in multiplayer. :D

Years ago, with some realism, I have imagined and documented Sarum Castle — a formidable fortress along the North Norfolk Coast in England during the early 1400s fully sustained by its household and town. Key features which you can consider for your own castle: Concentric design: Two defensive layers around the keep, with moats, drawbridges and barbicans. Defensive tricks: Trebuchets, mangonels, ballistas, rolling logs, oil and stone tippers along different hidden traps and k

Greetings! Today my big lord pack for Stronghold Legends was approved, and I thought a thread going more into details on its contents would be a good idea. Mostly, I want to give a more in-depth rundown on the six new lords featured in this lord pack and the thought process behind them. I am looking forward to feedback, comments, questions and suggestions on the lords., Links to Download Section Richard the Lionheart "My banner will fly atop your keep before this day is

Hello everyone! For some time now, @ Asophix has been working on refining and advancing the Stronghold Knights AI Castle Editor program, originally created to work with Stronghold 2. His intention is to create a program where the community can edit and create their own AI Castle Designs in Stronghold Legends. This is a truly historic moment and for the first time, you can now control aspects of Stronghold Legends which were previously never possible. The work far exceeds the orig
