Stronghold 2 - 1, 3 July

Recommended Posts

OK, I wouldn't be able to play today.

I still want to install XP onto my new hard drive and install version 1.4.1 on it as well so I can run both versions, I hope it works, if not I will patch up to 1.4.1 to play online tomorrow or the next time you guys want.

I guess I need to install Gameranger and get my log in info fixed up.

You can get GameRanger here: http://www.gameranger.com/download/

It's fairly straight forward to use, if you can tell me your gameranger ID I'll add you as a friend - that way it will be easier to setup games.

It may be possible that I will be unable to play tomorrow. I hope I will be able, but I am telling you this just in case, so you would know.

How about we keep it for the same time, at 6pm UK time, 7pm Novi Sad & 9 AM for you?

This fits me the best. I would be able to play earlier as well, but then it is possible someone to call me on the phone, and then I would lose connection. :/ Also, it would be possible for anything to interrupt me. But I would be willing to play then - only we would have this rick. :) (I don't say these happen often - only it is possible)

I had Gameranger when it came out.

I installed XP onto the partition, I lost my Windows 7, so I got it back and now I can't access XP.

From what I read XP needs to be installed first then 7 after.

It's got to do with the windows start files, one is vista and one is legacy, they won't work together unless XP is installed first and I won't be doing that today.

I said I would patch up to 1.4.1, after thinking about that I would rather not until the maps I'm working on are done.

I guess I'm saying that I won't be able to play online today, Sorry!

Sorry I didn't make it. I came to GameRanger, but then I saw Chris and Bradley had already started the game. I'm sure we will be able to play some other time. :)

By the way, I haven't tried this, but... Is it possible to install a game for only one user (on PC)? Then it would be possible to have 1.3.1 for one user, and 1.4.1 for the other one... But I am almost sure it doesn't work that way...

ADDITION: I added Bradley to my friends at GameRanger. :)

No that wouldn't work as the game installs to your hard drive and therefore, for everyone. You can choose whether individual users can use that application, but it will be installed for all.

I have not tried installing 2 versions of SH2.

I do have 2 versions of SHC installed, 1.1 and 1.2 are installed separately and both work.

I do believe that I can get 2 operating systems to work and be able to dual boot into either one and be able to have 2 installs if SH2 patched to 2 different levels.

I will let you know when I get it working or not.

Years ago, with some realism, I have imagined and documented Sarum Castle — a formidable fortress along the North Norfolk Coast in England during the early 1400s fully sustained by its household and town. Key features which you can consider for your own castle: Concentric design: Two defensive layers around the keep, with moats, drawbridges and barbicans. Defensive tricks: Trebuchets, mangonels, ballistas, rolling logs, oil and stone tippers along different hidden traps and k
