well of the firefly forums even they said try copying the files to get around the issue lol and as it worked on my mates one before I might try another computer it wont work on my mates again though as he upgraded a lot as he computer was really bad (trying not to use that magical 4 letter word :P) but count me in for today I'll have the issued fix one way or another it just the case of obtaining one file wont be too hard

 

also I don't like daemon tools or image of disk emulators id rather just use the disk or steam, origin or uplay (there are others software company like GOG but don't use them)

If he upgraded a lot, then it sounds like it's newer operating systems that's the problem. You'll have to tell me how it's done in the end, this is really making me think - I have no idea how it could be done.

I think its to do with OS and disk reader and other variables

I think it could be OS related, but an OS problem wouldn't trigger a IS_STRING_NOT_DEFINED error by itself. That's to do with the actual data on the disk.

yh my error is

which according to firefly FAQ is due to damage disk but my disk had a little scratch on there but it let me install it on my mates old crappy comp before he fully upgraded to a decent gaming rig the disk litrally hasn't changed lol

That file is on the disk so I'm confused as to why that would spring an error on one PC but not the other, despite how old it is.

I know I cant even get it off the disk just like the instal it get to 85% and bam error

It's obviously just a specific error it's encountering in a set place. The only way I think you'll solve it is getting a replacement.

well i got stronghold crusader HD working (steam share thanks to a friend) bad news its version 1.3

I can't play 1.3, my game crashes. I can only play 1.2 at the moment, but I've bought another one and I'm awaiting it's arrival. I'll try playing with that, but it's likely to not work or go slow like last time. I'll leave it up to EaglePrince as to what we should do, it's his event :)

I can see you were online at GameRanger, untill 19:15... I hope I didn't mess up something with these timezones. :/ I meant to play now, when is 19:30 in Belgrade, and I believe I am in GMT+1. :) Maybe I should go back to elementary school, I don't know...

 

EDIT: It seems like Belgrade is GMT+1 during winter, and GMT+2 during summer... I'm sorry. :(

I have created another form in the post post, so we could deal when to continue the game.

I'm sad that Bradley didn't make it to play with us. I'm sure, that next time we will all be able to play together. :)
