  1. I like the comment system too, as this way one can see if others liked the map, and he/she can easily read others opinions. We know that there are treads for some of the maps and stuff, but if one visits the page of a file, he wouldn't know where to comment if he likes it. :) There are more reasons I am sure. :) ADITION: Also, regarding those treads for some of our maps and stuff - those are our work which we want to present to our community; we are so proud of our work that we would be able to poke someone in an eye and say "look, isn't it awesome?". :D ...and that's what those treads for our downloadable content are for, but we do need the comment system as well, at least for those content that don't have their treads in the forum. :) Also, we could say that comment system doesn't work so great at Stronghold Heaven downloads section, but that's because they have no notification system, which is great about SHN. AN IDEA: Maybe making notifications for those comment in the top bar like those we get when we get a PM would do well - instead of sending email notifications, I don't know if that would spare some bandwidth... But if we keep both, than it wouldn't spare any bandwidth. :)
  2. I just click at "view source" button at the right, and I type with no lag now - just the way we used to type before. But using the editor in Internet Explorer without lad would be great. :)
  3. That's nice to hear. :) By the way, I should tell that the "new posts" link worked well this morning. :)
  4. That's nice, you're doing great job. Now if I feel ever need to make a forum I would be able to use yours. By the way, I assume it is easily translated into another language, say Serbian? :) I mean, it would require patience and time, but it could be done if needed I believe (by the one who needs it of course).
  5. Welcome to community, Narrikis! It is a great thing that more players is now able to play the game. I also hope we could meet at some of our gaming events which we make now and then. If you feel need to play it in multiplayer with us feel free to make here a gaming event on your own too! :) Some of us would be able to join.
  6. I still get the error when I click on "new posts" though... I tried cleaning cookies and I also tried visiting the forum from Mozilla. Same happens.
  7. I do want to add that this PC is not a high end machine, I've got 2GB of RAM, and 2.7 GHz processor (single core). I am sure it would work differently on my other PC though. Also, I am able not to write in WYSIWYG editor, then it would surely work smoothly.
  8. This is the exact message I get. And here is the "new posts"?link I followed. Next time someone makes a post I could try to see what happens if I follow the link with Mozilla, or I could try cleaning cookies and stuff like that... It is Internet Explorer 11. The exact version is 11.0.9600.17801. I checked the add-on now just in case, but as I expected I have disabled java. Should I enable it? Other than that I do not have any "unusual" add-on installed.
  9. You did a great job here! Well done. :) Only I did notice few things. For example, when I clicked on "new posts" from the main forum page I got some error message, I don't recall which one exactly. I believe it was some server error. Also, this editor seems to work slower on my PC when I use Internet Explorer. In Mozilla it works great. Still, this thing regarding the speed - I am not sure of it, but only it seems that characters appear short time after I type them. When I do to view the source this issue in Internet Explorer is no longer present. I don't mean to be the one who complains, I only want to help, and I like what you did, although I haven't see all those new stuff I think.
  10. Do we have a tread for chat and those other irrelevant stuff? :) I believe that we had a tread where we left few jokes, but I am unable to find it though... Also, we could have some recovery room or something like that like at Stronghold Heaven, but again, I do think that we already have it, but I can't manage to find it. :( Nevertheless, this is what I found today on 9gag... :D I meant to share it with you, as I believe some of us will surely recognize themselves in this. :D http://9gag.com/gag/a9L09PL PS: If we do have a tread for this, a apologize for making a new one for this. :)
  11. I see, Lord Banshee want's to have a revenge, and he wants to make it a HD revenge. :D
  12. I didn't notice Mathew's second message here. :) But regarding my needs, I would like to upgrade my older PC enough so I could play Stronghold 3 or Crusader 2 like I do on my newer PC, and I would like to upgrade it enough so I could play those with less lag when mora stuff are going on the map. :) It wouldn't have to be a lot better though. I mean, I need it for busines, yeah, for busines. :D
  13. Thanks you for your help guys! I have noticed that I would need some time to read everything Mathew showed me, and I shall do that tomorrow, as I still need to finish something first until tomorrow. Regarding your offer TemplarMERZ, thank you for that. That is exactly what I would need when buying a new PC - advices like that. :) The only thing right now is that I don't want to throw away this PC yet - as long as it works, and as it is powerful enough for some basic needs. My idea right now is to keep it, and make it somewhat better, although I do realize this motherboard is outdated. Because of that this time I wouldn't go to pay much money for this upgrading - I could find some used parts too, and I know a guy who knows how to test those used parts. Later I could give this PC in a little bit better shape to my parents, and I would get myself a better PC having in mind just those things you mentioned - being able to upgrade it in some future. :) I also plan to upgrade my newer PC. Maybe I could see if I could buy a new GPU for my newer PC for example, and to move it's old one to my older PC... Maybe I could do the same with CPU's as well.
  14. Nice! I'm going to see how was it looking from your perspective now. :) Also, I think it would be a good idea to have a sticky tread for those videos. :)
  15. LOL, what is that? "slow connection"? I had that internet speed until last year, when they decreased it to 1MB/s, and before December 2013 I had 160kB/s. :D I really don't understand Microsoft at this one... Joking aside, this seams to me more like some temporary problem. Maybe if you try the same now, you wouldn't get the same message? :what: Also, I do realize that internet providers have better technology than those in Serbia, and that this is not consider as a fast internet in UK. Also, sorry for jumping in like this, but I was really surprised to see they tell 5MB/s is slow connection...
  16. Well, regarding the use of catapults when it is about attacking a castle, it is untrue that they can easily destroy it. Maybe you can say that about trebuchets, as they have bigger range, and they can be placed behind some hills. Also, if one doesn't put them together in one place, they are not an easy target for defending mangonels. On the other hand, catapults have the same range as mangonels, and one they reach the range, mangonels destroy them instantly. They don't destroy them all, but very quickly mangonels will destroy most of catapults, which is most important. Only the defending player needs to have enough stone on his stockpile. What do you say about not putting limit over catapults, but only not to allow deliberately attacking troops by catapults? Sometimes you do need a lot of catapults to destroy a castle walls, especially if the terrain suits the defender more. And what allowing trebuchets to (deliberately) attack enemy troops? I know one cannot for sure tell if someone deliberately shoot enemy troops with catapults, but it would be a matter of honor. :) ADDITION: I have created a tread here about those rules. We could debate it there, if you wish. :)
  17. Hey, guys! I wanted to ask this one question, as I have this one older PC, and I tough how I could improve it a little. Not my newer one, but this older one. Firstly, I would like to know do I need to look after something specific if I wanted to replace my GPU or CPU? When one wants to change RAM memory, he needs to pay attention if it is DDR2, or DDR3 for example. For this one I needed DDR2 for example. So, would any newer CPU or GPU work on this PC / its motherboard, or I need to pay attention to something? The other thing I wanted to ask is this about processors having more cores... Generally speaking, what is better - having a single core 3GHz CPU, or having a dual core 1.5GHz CPU for example? And, similar question to quad core processors... Is there a way to know what are "equivalent" single core and dual core processors? Thanks in advance!
  18. One thing I wanted to ask... Do you think it was ok that I was aiming at your army using my catapults and trebuchets? We do approve mangonels, trebuchets - I guess they are ok too, but somehow I felt bad when I was killing your army with catapults, only it was too late, as both of us began to do that. I mean, catapults do have better rate of fire, so a larger group of catapults can devastate an army. I think that we should allow trebuchets hitting on troops deliberately, but catapults on troops - I guess we shouldn't allow that. Trebuchets have smaller rate of fire, and they cannot be moved once they've been placed, but if you feel like both of those shouldn't be allowed, then I would agree, as it is not much natural. Also, it is something that players in Crusader 1 use - build around 30 catapults, but I don't like using that tactic. Today I was using similar tactic - but I approved it to myself by "here we have less gold then we do in Crusader 1, so it won't do that much harm"... I'd like to hear others opinions.
  19. I like the map, you made it very well! It is well balanced map, and it was exciting to fight on it, as there is enough space where one could move his army. Like in our battle the two can fight in the middle, in the north-east, or in the south-west. That is why I especially like how you made that lake in south-east. I am sorry for going away so fast after the game was over, I was hungry like hell. :) Regarding the war itself. :) After the peace time was over we started to gather our troops in front of our castles. As Lord Banshee had more crossbowmen outside his castle, I decided to build few trebuchets to shoot rock on his army. This helped me a little, and we were struggling there for a while. Some time later I decided to more north, to attack some of his buildings east of his castle. I was destroying his quarries, and his stables. He was using the same tactic against me too - he was also using his catapults against my troops. After a while I retreated from there, and I decided to gather my troops in the middle again, so I could destroy his economy buildings in front of his castle - he had workshops there. Now I had some more gold, and I had constructed catapults instead of trebuchets, so I could move them. Some time later I made some trebuchets too, so I could destroy his iron mines across the lake in hill - I was successful in this task. Then it seems that I had weakened Lord Banshee, and I noticed I had enough pikemen to attack his castle using siege towers, but I wanted to collect some more troops. I trained some more swordsmen, and I was able to train more then 100 spearmen - they would definitely be useful in this situation, although in the end I didn't use all those spears. I attacked him. I move siege towers forward, I ordered my troops to march towards his castle, including my troops in south-east. Luckily for me, lots of my troops had managed to climb Lord Banshees walls before he set his castle to fire. He still had crossbowmen on the walls, and the pikemen which climbed there managed to kill them. He had some more troops too - he had many swordsmen outside his castle, but luckily for me, he was unable to get them into the castle because of fire. I waited for fire to calm, and then I slayed his lord.. :) This was a great game, but no less then any other game we played with Lord Banshee. :)
  20. That was my idea too! :D Also, I did write "Stronghold Nation gaming event" at Steam Discussions, but I didn't put that into description at Stronghold Heaven, as I was worried that could be considered as advertising, but if tobikanne121, he will see that this is a Stronghold Nation gaming event. :)
  21. I hope we will find the forth player too. We could play any four player map from your from your VK page. Now when I mentioned it, I have noticed that you have put the link to the VK page on your profile. You could do the same with your signature if you want. That way people will more easily notice it. It is in Russian, but if someone can't handle a little bit of Russian he surely can translate the page using Google Translate or Bing Translate for example. :)
  22. A friend from Stronghold Heaven said he would like to join our fight tomorrow. His username is tobikanne121.
  23. Oh boy, that would be an epic fight! :D It would be something worth living for! :D
  24. If we play a 2v2 game on a 2v2 map, I hope to see Lord Chris by my side. :)
