Bronthion 0 Posted February 25, 2018 Hi there! New to the forum, I asked this same question in SH2 Heaven and I was redirected here to see if someone could help me. Its just a quick modding question. I own both SH2 and SHL and I was wondering if it was possible to replace the model of the Lady (the one that appears when you build the Ladies Chamber) in SH2 with the model of the Ice Queen from SHL? Its a random question I know but I have tried already myself and all that happened is that the Lady became invisible when I replaced her mesh with that of the Ice Queen. Ive managed to transfer models between games before quite successfully but its just this one that's giving me problems. Anyone know if it can be done?
Mathew Steel 151 Posted February 25, 2018 Welcome,?@Bronthion, I believe all of the important information you'll need will be in this thread - https://www.stronghold-nation.com/article/62-how-to-switch-between-sh2-and-shl-lords 1 "Gofyn wyf am galon hapus, calon onest, calon l?n." Bronthion 0 Posted February 25, 2018 Thanks for the quick reply! I followed the instructions on that page and managed to copy the model across perfectly. Unfortunately, as the Lady has several unique animations, the new Ice Queen model cannot seem to perform them correctly. I don't suppose you would know how to get the new model to use the Lady animations would you?
Lord_Chris 267 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi @Bronthion, welcome to StrongholdNation! If you transfer a model across to the other game, all previous animations that model had will no longer be played in the game. This is because when you are changing the uni file, you're overwriting any resources loaded for that unit. It also wouldn't work because you would need to alter that animation and change it to match your new unit. What you could try, however, is to rename some of the Ice Queen animation files to that of the lady. But I do not believe this would work for the reasons I outlined above. 0 Quote The fields have eyes, and the woods have ears. — Geoffrey Chaucer, The Canterbury Tales: The Knight's Tale Useful Articles Stronghold Legends Trails & Walkthroughs Scripting Invasions & Using Invasion Markers Extracting Audio Assets from Stronghold 3 Locking/Unlocking Stronghold Crusader 2 Maps
