Crusader1307 302 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) Possibly a dumb question to ask everyone. IF I upload a map (say to this site), again from SH2, will any self-modified troops transfer as well? Or is it just the map? I'm sorry upfront....lol :D Edited January 13, 2015 by Crusader1307 0 Ego Sum Re Historica Meritissimus https://www.stronghold-nation.com/history/quiz https://www.stronghold-nation.com/history/thru-ages/
Lord_Chris 284 Posted January 13, 2015 Moving to Stronghold 2 as the advanced discussion forums are mainly for discussion topics rather than help topics. If you do accidently post in the wrong section, you can report your post asking for it to be moved and a moderator will assist you :) Possibly a dumb question to ask everyone. IF I upload a map (say to this site), again from SH2, will any self-modified troops transfer as well? Or is it just the map? No question is too stupid to ask, all questions have equal worth. You would have to add the unit skins to the archive as well as the map for the map to transfer with the skins, and this depends on exactly what you edit in the game. The skins are .dds files, and the models (3D Structure) for the units are .gr2. If you're only changing certain skins though, make sure you don't copy and paste all of them in, only the ones you've changed. By default, the skins are located: C:\Program Files (x86)\Firefly Studios\Stronghold 2\meshes\units\models If you have installed it to a custom location, you can search for it or will have to navigate there yourself. Also note that whether the folder Program Files (x86) is called that, or just Program Files will depend on whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. 0 Quote The fields have eyes, and the woods have ears. — Geoffrey Chaucer, The Canterbury Tales: The Knight's Tale Useful Articles Stronghold Legends Trails & Walkthroughs Scripting Invasions & Using Invasion Markers Extracting Audio Assets from Stronghold 3 Locking/Unlocking Stronghold Crusader 2 Maps
