crests in Stonghold 2 multiplayer

Hi, I wanted to ask you, if you know if it's possible to change your crest in Stronghold 2 in multiplayer? I am aware of that it is possible in singleplayer and in multiplayer as well, but I don't know if it's possible to make it visible to other players? I'm wondering does it work the same way as in Stronghold Crusader, where everyone can see my custom made face or crests in the multiplayer game?

Everyone can see each player's crest, I've never actually tried playing multiplayer with a custom crest, but I guess it would just work for you - the other files get loaded from the other player's game, so you would have to modify it on their PC as well. As long as you follow our tutorial, depend when you join the game as to which crest you get.you should be fine as the game should not notice any difference between the two files - but, it does The later you join, the higher the number of your crest. The host always has the default crest.

Thanks, Chris! So, there is no way to use it in multiplayer so other would see your crest... As about the tutorial, I did know about that - there are some more suggested crests I could use, and there is always the option to make a new png file yourself. It's a pity that this thing is done this way in Stronghold 2... They could more similar to Stronghold Crusader - all of them have their own crests, only in different colors, and you to be able to chose which crest to use. :(

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. :) I really like how it is possible to customize all flags, shields and other stuff, by simply changing crest1.png file. Pity how it cannot be seen by others in multiplayer, but still, great thing!

That's why I like stronghold 2 so much, it's so easy to change almost anything - I think it's firefly's best game purely because it's so mod-friendly. What we know is only very basic technically as there is a lot of the files which I know I've never touched - stronghold 2 still has some great secrets. Think of what we have yet to learn!

I could do that, but I'd more gladly make a new custom crest, you desire. You describe me what you wish, and I would make it. :) I could make a new tread for this, just like I have one for Stronghold Crusader faces.

 

As I see you are from England, maybe you would like some of those to be used in creating the crest for you?

 

 

Also, this one crest with eagle - I designed it to be my own crest, and I use it in Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold Europe as my crests (faces), I use it as avatar at Stronghold Heaven and here, and now in Stronghold 2 as well. :)

 

If you still want it more to have this one in your game, I would send you it at your email. Only I would more gladly create you another one, and that would take me any time at all, as it is way simpler than in Stronghold Crusader. :) In fact, I will start that topic right now, and I will there some other crest I had created before.

I have created some English crest on my own, I hope you will like it. :) You may see them in my Stronghold 2 crests tread. Crest files are displayed in the first post of the topic.
