Lord_Chris 284 Posted July 24, 2020 Just wondering which of you guys have played the Stronghold Warlords Demo yet and what you thought of it? I've had it downloaded for a while but only just got a chance to have a look at it. I have to say, Firefly have really impressed me with how they've managed to put everything together. There's a lot of depth to the game, and it's really stable, especially considering it's just a beta/demo version. They've combined all of the best parts from both Stronghold 3 and Crusader 2 and really built on things. It appears I missed it (or forgot) how can we get Stronghold Warlords Demo to try it? Lord_Chris 284 Posted July 26, 2020 I don't think you can download it anymore now sadly, I think it was only available for a limited time. You could contact Firefly though and ask for a beta code, Nick gave me one a while back, though granted that's because I couldn't get the demo working on my new machine. It's only a single mission to play in the demo, but by am I impressed with the work and background that's gone into it. I'm particularly interested in the concept of Peace Consulates, because it allows you (in theory) to peacefully annexe an estate instead of taking it by force. It also seems that while in previous versions of Stronghold you could just walk straight up to a neutral estate and claim it, you now need to fight off the Warlord and any army around the estate.
