    I am proud to present part 2 of a mapping series: The End of The Pig - On the Rise
    The map is part of a little "campaign" and is based on the original from Stronghold.
     
    Prolog:
    "You have been charged to overthrow the Pig's final county by laying siege to his stronghold. You have besieged this castle before but it has since been rebuilt and now has a full garrison so will prove to be a far greater challenge. Our simple direct approach with the battering ram may not now be enough."
     
    Description:
    "We successfully gained the control of the Pig's castle. Our scouts reporting the Wolf troops marching into our direction. You need to build up the castle again and hold it against the waves of Wolfs army!"

    Hey, I already finished the dlc. It's pretty easy overall. I just had to think in 2 missions. I believe it was mission 4 or 5 and the one where you have 6 enemies against you. The goal was to build a large tower and put crossbowman on it as fast as you can. The large unit amount will overrun you if you just use archers.
    I liked that they put an extra mission :)

    Hey, I finally released a new map I created a while ago. I hoped that the editor will be updated and they might have added "The Pig" sounds. Anyways, this time it's a military invasion map while you need to invade the Pig's castle.

    Hey, I finally released a new map I created a while ago. I hoped that the editor will be updated and they might have added "The Pig" sounds. Anyways, this time it's a military invasion map while you need to invade the Pig's castle.

    The workshop got release today.
     
    Download a map: Search a map in the workshop and click subscribe. It will be downloaded and available on the next re launch of the game.
    Upload a map: Open the Stronghold Crusader 2 editor and open your map. Click "File" and then "Publish to Steam Workshop". You can edit the infos after upload on your steam account (find it in the steam program in your profile)

    Hey, so my next map will be an invasion map again. I remember this one castle of "The Pig" which you needed to siege on stronghold. It was very hard and took me a while to be sucessful. The goal of this map is to kill the enemy Lord The Pig - Duc Truffle. You will loose if you have to less troops left.
     
    I built the basic map in fast creating way so it's not natural looking yet.
    Right now I have the problem that an AI seems to control your units if you don't stop them doing so. Also It isn't possible to dig the water so I decided to block the left and right water area for now. Another problem is that the defending Lord isn't using the fire archers to set the pitch on fire so I needed to place oil throwers, mangols are not used neither.

    Check the addons and programs which are used by your browser. Firefox for example: Tools -> Add-Ons
    Also you could try to reinstall adobe flash player. Maybe something broke.

    Hi, let us collect stuff you figured in the editor.
    Please keep this ontopic and just write informations.
     
    - You can check the KI castle size in a faction area by clicking it with cntrl+mouse1 and then scrolling with the mousewheel. The square must be white.
     
    - Textures are missing after placing and/or are like cut through at the "Grid" line.
     
    - Areas are black on minimap if you make landscapes lower then the sea level
     
    - You can edit the sea color, water flow, reflection, etc.. Go in the Water Tab -> Sea (enable it) -> click the little triangle next to "ShaderProperties"
     
    - Don't place walls next to cliffs. Leave "one square" space so the engine wont cut off the battlement of the wall
    -> Don't custom lower/heigher the cliffs(/mountains) if there is a wall next to it. This will remove and bug the wall.

    Looking good Micha! I like the pier on the right side of the island, also the trees near the mountain is a nice little touch.
     
    If you don't know how else to make the map look more "realistic" if you'd like, here are some tips:
     
    Feather oasis-placing a border of feathers around a solid oasis can easily make it look more alive
    Stones-if parts of the island look bare and plain, lowering the brush intensity and scattering stones around the land bring out different textures in the land
    Brush Intensity-like stated above, brush intensity is useful and experimenting with it can do various things to your map
     
    Good luck with the rest of the map, looking forward to some more updates :)

    Hello, I started to work on a new map. It's still early version and textures, resources, etc are missing. I just wanted to know what you think so far.
    The map is on extra large and should hold up to 6 players. I plan to make it oasis like, so much greenland and beach textures. Also enough wood but no iron and maybe no stone.
    The map side crossing is possible at the rifght way or three ways over the river.

    You forgot the set "Pathings". Go into the "Marker" topic and pathing and set them where your markers are. I created 3 chains and it is working for me now.
     
    I noticed:
    - you forgot to block the water with path blocking tool.
    - the carter post at grey castle is not working (mark it, then on the right side click "Objects" and choose what it should deliver)
    - the markers for the siege camp (target) are to near to the red castle (catapults get instant destroyed)
    - the blue spawnpoint needs to be a bit right else the Lord will spawn on a strange spot and will be inside the keept
     
    Game crashed at the end. Maybe it was my fault but better check this :)
    Overall nice idea but I just won this map with shields, arab archers and swordman. Maybe think of some balancing so there is need for the stone.

    Hey, my new project is a real castle which was built by Arabs and then successfully sieged by Crusaders. The castle name is Crac des Chevaliers and it stands in Syria.
    I tried to built it as real as possible and took the pictures from google earth and different internet sides.

    It is possible to play it against a KI player or a human player. Note: 'Host' must always be the defending side.
    The invaders are the Arab troops lead by the great Saladin (arriving in waves till day 15). The Crusaders are defending and can only recruit some crusader units.
    Both teams can't build any buildings.
     
    Goals:
    Crusader: Defend the Lord and survive till all invasion troops are death
    Arabians: Kill the enemy Lord
     
    Note: The path through the gates is the only possible way to reach the Crusader Lord.
     
    Mission briefing:
    (French for "Fortress of Knights"; Arabic: Qal'at al-Hosn)
    The remarkably well-preserved Crusader castle Crac des Chevaliers: Built and expanded between 1150 and 1250, it eventually housed a garrison of 2000. The castle guarded the only major pass between Antioch in Turkey and Beirut in Lebanon. It held out against several attacks, but was lost to the Mamluk Sultan Beybar in 1271.
